- The stimulation generated by the device can be strong enough to cause an electric shock. Electrical current of this magnitude must not flow through the chest (thorax) or between the chest and upper back, as it may cause cardiac arrhythmias. Do not place electrodes over the heart!
- Do not place electrodes on the front of the throat, as this may cause spasms of the larynx and pharynx muscles. Stimulation over the neck cavity (neck area) may close the airways, making breathing difficult, and negatively affect heart rhythm or blood pressure.
- Do not place electrodes on your head or in locations where electrical current could flow transcranially (through the head).
- If TENS therapy is ineffective or becomes uncomfortable, the stimulation should be discontinued until its use is re-evaluated by a physician.
- The devices are not AP/APG-protected. Do not use in the presence of explosive atmospheres or flammable mixtures.
- The device should only be used under medical supervision.
- Electrodes must not be placed over the eyes, mouth, or inside the body.
- The device is to be used only while awake.
- Do not use the device during pregnancy unless prescribed by your doctor.
- If the patient is simultaneously connected to the stimulator and a high-frequency surgical instrument, this may cause burns at the stimulator electrode site and potentially damage the stimulator.
- Do not use the product within 1 meter of shortwave or microwave therapy devices, as this may cause instability in the stimulator output.
- Use only original accessories provided by the manufacturer with your device (see package contents).
- Do not use this device for undiagnosed pain symptoms before consulting a doctor.
- This device must not be used while driving, operating machinery, near water, or during activities where involuntary muscle contractions could expose the user to excessive risk of injury.
- Always turn off the device before applying or removing TENS accessories on the skin.
- Keep this device out of the reach of children.
- The device has no curative effect.
- Electronic monitoring devices (such as ECG monitors and ECG alarms) may not function properly when electrical stimulation is in use.
- The device should be cleaned after each use with a soapy solution on a clean cloth.
