We don't treat our neck particularly gently in everyday life, but expose it to daily stress, which mainly results in overload and tension and makes nodding and turning our heads uncomfortable and difficult.

If the mobility of the neck is restricted by a bad posture or draught, kinesiology tape can help you. With the tension when sticking kinesiology tape on the neck, you can give it the necessary stability without restricting mobility too much to pursue your passion for sports (e.g. for training the neck muscles) or simply a more comfortable feeling when moving your head to have. Note: In the case of neck pain, it is always advisable to consult a doctor who can determine the cause of the injury or neck pain.

  • Taping the neck: Step 1

Stick the first Y-tape with the wide side down slightly below the neck and then stick the two narrow tape strips to the right and left of the cervical spine to just below the hairline.

  • Taping the neck: Step 2

Take I-Tape and tear it in the middle so that you can stick the kinesiotape in the middle. Stick the strip of tape across the previously attached Y-tape, approximately at the level of where the two thin strips branch off. For the taping of several strips on top of each other, it is advisable to use tapes with different colors.

Tips for using kinesiology tape

Round off the corners

Before taping, round off the edges with scissors so that the corners don't peel off so easily. You don't need to do this with pre-cut kinesiology tapes because the corners are already rounded

Stroke the tape several times

After you have applied the tape, rub the tape several times to activate the adhesive

Clean skin

Make sure your skin is dry and clean before taping.

It is advisable to shave the area beforehand when using it with thicker hair, so that the kinesiology tape holds better and it is easier to remove after use.

Creases on the tapes during use are normal

It is normal and intended that waves may form on the tape after application during muscle relaxation. These are even intended and are called convolutions.

To ensure the compatibility of the kinesiology tape with your skin, we recommend that you test a small piece of tape on the skin in advance and leave it there for about 30 minutes.

If you experience itching or an allergic reaction, remove the Kinesiology Tape and stop using it.
