Collection: Sporttape

Maximum fixation and support during sports

Our rigid sports tape is the first choice for athletes who rely on firm stabilization during training or competition. Unlike stretchable versions, this tape is made of a particularly tear-resistant, non-elastic cotton fabric. Its functional benefit lies in the direct mechanical support it provides: it helps guide movements and firmly encloses joints (such as the ankle, wrist, or fingers). This gives you a secure feeling under high physical stress – whether climbing, playing volleyball, or weightlifting.

Thanks to its strong adhesive properties and easy tearability, the tape can be applied quickly and precisely. It provides robust protection against external influences and helps you concentrate fully on your athletic performance without the material giving way.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ Rigid Sports Tape

What is rigid sports tape primarily used for?

It serves to mechanically stabilize joints (e.g., ankle, fingers, wrist). Because it is inelastic, it selectively restricts movement.

Can I stick sports tape directly onto my skin?

Yes, sports tape is designed for direct skin contact. For very sensitive skin or thick hair, it is recommended to peel it off carefully in the direction of hair growth.

How does sports tape differ from kinesiology tape?

Sports tape is rigid and inelastic; it firmly fixes the joint. Kinesiology tape, on the other hand, is highly elastic and supports movement without restricting it. Sports tape is suitable for mechanical support.

How long should a sports tape bandage be worn?

A functional tape bandage should generally only be worn for the duration of athletic activity (approx. 2–4 hours). Since the material does not stretch, prolonged rest can restrict blood circulation or irritate the skin under the adhesive.

Is sports tape waterproof?

Most high-quality sports tapes are water-repellent and withstand sweat well.

To ensure the compatibility of the sports tapes with your skin, we recommend testing a small piece of tape on your skin beforehand and leaving it there for about 30 minutes.

If you experience itching or an allergic reaction, remove the sports tape and stop using it.
