Instructions for filling and using hot water bottles

Since you are handling warm or hot water when filling the hot-water bottles, there are a few things to consider:

  • NEVER use boiling water to fill the hot water bottle. Even hot water can cause burns
  • Fill the rubber bottle up to 2/3 full
  • When filling, hold the hot water bottle vertically by the bottle neck
  • Let the remaining air escape before screwing the lid on.
  • We advise against heating the hot-water bottle in the microwave or oven
  • The hot-water bottle may only be filled with water without additives
  • Avoid prolonged skin contact with the rubber bottle
  • We recommend using a cover for the hot water bottle
  • Always empty the bottle completely after use
  • Only running water without detergent should be used for cleaning
  • For hygienic reasons, hot-water bottles should be replaced after 4 years at the latest
