TENS application for lumbago
Pain in the lower back is often a torture for those affected. The pain can be triggered by a variety of causes, such as lumbago.
Lumbago, also known medically as lumbago, is a sudden, stabbing pain in the lower back. When the vertebral joints, muscles and nerves in the lumbar spine can no longer work together properly, it can cause lumbago. More than half of all Germans suffer from acute lumbago at least once. The treatment is conservative, for example with a TENS device for pain relief.
Regular use of electrical stimulation can help you relax muscles and reduce the intensity of pain in your lower back[1]. Furthermore, TENS therapy can promote blood circulation [2]. Pain relief through TENS is achieved by blocking the transmission of the pain signal to the brain and stimulating the body to release endorphins (the body's own pain-relieving messenger substances).

Please note when using TENS:
The intensity should be adjusted so that it is felt as a pleasant tingling sensation. The duration of the application should be approx. 40 minutes in order to be able to achieve a lasting reduction in pain. It also makes sense to switch programs every now and then.
