TENS application for finger and thumb pain

Man holding fingers due to pain. Finger pain and thumb pain can be treated with a TENS device.

A TENS application can relieve painful tension and has a blocking effect on the transmission of pain signals to the brain. In this way, the pain stimuli cannot be passed on by the nerves and finger or thumb pain is no longer perceived as severely. Pain-relieving, endogenous hormones (the so-called endorphins) are released by the TENS treatment and thus freedom from pain is brought about[1]. In addition, a TENS treatment increases blood circulation[2].

Thumb pain and finger complaints, such as aching fingertips, can be relieved in this way. If you also build up muscles on the forearm with EMS muscle stimulation, overuse of fingers and thumbs is less common.
