No, that's the big advantage: Because the layers of the adhesive bandage stick to each other, the dressing stays securely in place without additional aids such as metal clips or adhesive strips. Simply press it on, and you're done.
Can adhesive bandages be cleaned under running water?
Adhesive bandages are usually disposable or intended for short-term, multiple uses on the same day. Machine washing destroys the cohesive coating. For hygienic reasons, they should be replaced with a new wrap if soiled.
Are adhesive bandages suitable for allergy sufferers?
Because they don't stick directly to the skin, they cause significantly less skin irritation than traditional adhesive tapes. Caution is advised only if you have a latex allergy.
