- The stimulation from the device may be strong enough to cause an electric shock. Electric currents of this magnitude should not flow through the chest (thorax) or the chest and upper back, as they can cause heart arrhythmias. Do not place the electrodes over the heart!
- Do not place electrodes on the front of the throat, as this can lead to spasms of the laryngeal and pharyngeal muscles. Stimulation above the carotid sinus (neck area) can close the airways, make breathing difficult, and have negative effects on heart rhythm or blood pressure.
- Do not place electrodes on your head or at locations where the electric current can flow transcranially (through the head).
- If TENS therapy is ineffective or becomes uncomfortable, the stimulation should be stopped until its use is re-evaluated by a doctor.
- The device has no AP/APG protection. Do not use it in explosive atmospheres or near flammable mixtures.
- The device should only be used after consulting a doctor.
- Electrodes must not be placed over the eyes, mouth, or inside the body.
- The device should only be used while awake.
- Do not use the device during pregnancy unless prescribed by your doctor.
- If the patient is simultaneously connected to the stimulator and a high-frequency surgical instrument, it can cause burns at the electrode attachment site and possibly damage the stimulator.
- Do not use the product within 1 meter of shortwave or microwave therapy devices, as this can cause instability in the stimulator output.
- Only use original accessories from the manufacturer with your device (see scope of delivery).
- Do not use this device for undiagnosed pain symptoms before consulting a doctor.
- This device must not be used while driving a vehicle, operating machinery, or near water, or during activities where involuntary muscle contractions may expose the user to an excessive risk of injury.
- Always turn off the device before applying or removing TENS accessories from the skin.
- Keep this device out of the reach of children.
- The device has no healing effects.
- Electronic monitoring devices (such as ECG monitors and ECG alarms) may not function properly when electrical stimulation is used.
- The device must be cleaned after each use with a soapy solution on a clean cloth.
