TENS in case of phantom pain

After an amputation, many of those affected feel the part of the body that is no longer there. They experience a tingling, twitching or a cold and warm sensation. However, real pain can also be felt, which manifests itself in cramps, a burning or stinging sensation. The TENS pain therapy can help you to relieve the pain with the help of a TENS device.

TENS - Electrode placement in case of phantom pain

To relieve your pain, you can use the electrodes 5 x 5 cm as shown in the figure. For this application you need a TENS device with at least two channels.
