Treatment of the arm with a TENS device leads in most cases to a rapid pain reduction. Tensions of the musculature or poor blood circulation can often be improved. With continuous application, pain relief can also be achieved for chronic pain. By stimulating the nerve tissue with stimulation current, the pain stimulus is no longer passed on. Depending on the TENS treatment method, a release of the body's own pain-relieving endorphins can also be induced to combat pain.
It should be noted that arm pain can often occur due to tension in the neck. Therefore, it is recommended that the cervical area is possibly included in the treatment.
Application of stimulation current electrodes for arm pain
To treat arm pain with TENS effectively, you need a TENS device with at least 2 channels. Attach the electrodes of each channel to the affected arm according to the following instructions. We recommend for the application of the electrodes about 5 cm.
