The stretching of the ankle, which is important for walking and running, is triggered by the contraction of the calf muscle. Shortened calf muscles impair mobility in the ankle joint of the foot. The foot can no longer be pulled fully upward during walking. This can lead to discomfort that can be prevented with strengthened muscles and calf training. With the right EMS machine you can build and train the muscle group of your calf!
